AKA Road trip to Twillingate.
We did a wee road trip to go and look for icebergs. Just a mere 5 hour drive each direction. The good news is that it was a clear sunny day and that we did see a lot of huge icebergs. The bad news is that they were waaay out to sea. The drive was lovely with lupins lining the roadside for miles on end. We stopped at a wee museum, hiked the headlands, and went to a fantastic little diner for fish and chips with cod tongues, squid, and fresh steamed muscles on the side. Well worth the effort.
We took a gazillion photos of the icebergs of course. They were spectacular, but a long way off. I guess we'll just have to sail by an iceberg next week so I can get a postable photo of one.
